Well to say that I’ve been a crappy blogger would not only be an understatement, buttttttt would also give me more credit than I deserve! haha! I have been horrible!
A lot has happened in the last 2 months or so, so blogging kind of went to the wayside. But I’m back! I’m out of my rut and ready to blog again! Wahoooooooo!
SO. Recently, I was featured in the magazine “Go! Gilbert,” in their “Go! Dress up” section. A photographer came to my house to shoot some pictures, and I answered some questions about what I was wearing. I’m a little disappointed in what I chose for my outfit. I had so much more in mind but I was super stressed at the time, the deadline was approaching, AND I was out of town so I had to basically decide using what I had in my suitcase because I would be able to tell the editor the brands. That probably makes no sense but just know that I had a cuter outfit in mind, but due to time, wasn’t able to use it! Maybe I’ll do a separate post about that particular outfit....hmmmm
Anyway, here is the link to the magazine online.
http://gogilbert.com/issues/2013jun/index.html#/24/
I hate the way I’m posed. I look like I have a prego belly when guess what guys?! I DON’T! haha!
But I’m really excited to be featured...it was a great way to get my blog out to the public. I just wish I had posted a lot more in the last few months to make it worth it. Here’s to better and more frequent posting!

Outfit of the weeeeeek
Outfit of the week....like a couple of weeks ago ;-)
Dress: Monica’s Closet Essentials
Belt: It’s actually a stretchy headband! Necessity is the mother of all invention, right??! ;-)
Let’s talk rompers, mmkay?!
I really am trying to get this blog up and running. I have just been dealing with a lot of emotions lately so unfortunately, this blog went to the back burner. But let’s change that! Blogging makes me happy, so hopefully getting back into it will help me get out of this funk I’ve been in.
ANYWAYYYY...
Let’s talk clothes.
Right now I’m obsessed with rompers....I mean, aren’t they just the cutest things ever?! I’ve heard some people say that they are too short or too tall for rompers...ummm WRONG! I think rompers can be worn universally! You just gotta know how to work it! ;)
Tall girls- show off those gorgeous long legs in a cute romper. You might want to pair it with a cute pair of flats if you are a little uncomfortable with showing THAT much leg!
Short girls- WEDGES! I repeat...wedges! Do not be afraid to pair a romper with a cute wedge...they will lengthen your legs, and I mean come on, who doesn’t look good in a pair of wedges?!
I’m LOVING THIS romper right now! It’s the perfect amount of casual yet looks completely pulled together! Wouldn’t it be fab with a pair of tan wedges?!
For a little pattern in your life, take a look at THIS little lovely! I would pair this with a cute cropped jean jacket to pull the look together even more. Super cute!

Hair is oh-so-great!
Hello lovelies :-)
Just a quick hair post!
Just a quick hair post!
1. Create deep side part (whichever side you want)
2. Make a french-braid starting from your part to a little past your ear
3. Pin braid securely to head (I GENTLY pulled my braid apart to make it look a little bigger and messier, but this isn’t necessary)
4. Tease the back of your hair to your desired height (I usually like it BIG, but I decided to tone it down on this particular day)
5. Use a 32mm curling wand to curl the rest of your hair...start curling midshaft.
6. Shake your head, or finger through the curls to achieve the gentle “wave.”
Very simple and cute!
I’d love to see your recreations! Send them to megccam@gmail.com to be featured on my bloggy :-)
Goodnight! ;-)

Meet Monica!
Ok so I want you guys to meet Monica :-)
Monica is a lifestyle blogger who owns her own online boutique. She basically shops so you don’t have to! ;-) I have bought several items from her (just bought another shirt last night!), all of which I have posted pictures of on my little bloggy/Instagram/Facebook, so you might have already seen some of her stuff without even realizing it! The blue ombre top, the peach ombre top, and coral top with the heart cutouts are all from her boutique. I just bought the CUTEST black and white shirt from her last night, and I seriously can’t wait. I’ve been waiting for her to put that shirt up for sale for FOREVER! Guys, she is seriously the sweetest girl and has the best customer service I have ever experienced! Seriously, I can’t even tell you how many times I have messaged her on Facebook to get her opinion on a size, and she had replied within the hour at most. I mean, she’s that good! ;-)
Feel free to check her blog and her store out!

Make me up!
It’s late. And I should be sleeping. But I really wanted to share one of my favorite beauty items EVER. I do a lot of fashion posts lately, but hello?! How can I neglect the makeup side of me?! I can’t. So without further adieu...take a lookie at a few of my favorite makeup products EVER.
1. MAC Haute&Naughty Lash Mascara.
I can’t say enough about this mascara. I seriously love it. I love the fact that I can choose to go “lighter” with my mascara by using the smaller wand on the top (the “haute” side) or if I want a more dramatic look, I can choose the bottom wand (the “naughty” side.) It will set you back 20 bones, but you won’t regret it. It is fabulous!!!!
2. Bare Escentuals (Minerals) Mineral Veil.
This will completely set your makeup, or soak up any excess oil that may arise throughout the day. I’m not a fan of the illuminating version, but the original is to die for. It’s so lightweight! The cost is 20 bones.
3. MAC Mineralize blush in “Dainty”
I wear this pretty much every day. I’m fair skinned, and I find that this blush looks very natural. There is nothing worse than too dark of a blush on a fair skinned girl!!! The cost is 25 bones.
4. NARS blush in “Cactus Flower.”
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this blush! It’s a cream blush. I usually apply it with my fingers because the natural heat of your body (fingers) helps it apply much easier. I do, however, use a large powered brush sometimes, if I want a lighter application. 29 bones (a little pricey, but it’s fantastic!)
Ok, so now you’re thinking...what about drugstore makeup! Covergirl has a lot of products that I’ve really come to LOVE!
5. Covergirl Perfect Point Plus eyeliner in “Espresso”
Seriously guys, I have been using this eyeliner since I was 14 years old! I love it! It’s SO easy to apply, and stays put A LOT better than most expensive eyeliners. I’ve tried a lot of eyeliners but I always seem to come back to this one. It even includes a fun little smugger at the end if you want to go for a smokier look. Plus it’s around 6 or 7 bucks! Can’t beat that! ;-)
6. Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4 kit shadows in “Drama Eyes”
I love this eyeshadow palette because you can EASILY get a smoky, dramatic ooh with these shadows. I like to use the purple as a base, and blend the black into my crease. The other two “grayish” colors can be blended into the black, but honestly I don’t use those two colors as much as I would like. I LOVE the richness of the purple though! I can’t remember the exact cost, but I think it was around 5 or 6 bucks. LOVE!
7. Covergirl Outlast Lipstain in “Everbloom Kiss,” and “Wild Berry Wink”
THese stains really do last...for an hour or two anyway. Layer a good chapstick (Carmex anyone???) to help it last longer and moisturize at the same time! Woo! I don’t remember the cost for this either, but I think it was around 5 bucks.
Obviously, Covergirl has come up with several products that have gotten my approval. Keep up the good work, Covergirl! I love me some AFFORDABLE makeup! ;-)
I was going to include a few of my favorite foundation/powders, but I haven’t found one that I’m completely in love with. I have seriously (SERIOUSLY!), tried just about every foundation under the sun. I’m really picky about them, and always find myself loving one for about a week, only to start hating it and switch to something else. I have a love-hate relationship with foundation. Can’t we all just have beautiful, flawless skin??? No?? Well crap.
BUT, I will be doing a separate post all about foundation. That post will probably be really long so stay tuned....

5 Things in my Closet that I NEED
You know what I love? I mean really, REALLY love?! Being a girl. I love hair and makeup and clothes and ahhh just everything like that! But you know what? It’s HARD being a girl sometimes! Have you ever stared at your closet super frustrated because you feel like you have nothing to wear, yet you have an entire closet full of clothes?! I know I have.
Although I can’t promise you will be completely frustration free, (because I mean let’s be honest, who is??) I CAN promise to let you in on a few secrets that I’ve come up with to help you get the most out of your closet!!! Just know, this is what works for ME.
Closet Must-Haves
1. A GOOD pair of denim skinnies!!!
I probably wear skinnies 5 out of 7 days a week. I love them. THey are comfortable, yet you can dress them up or down depending on where you’re going. Pair them with boots, heels, flats, basically anything! They are so versatile! Wanna know another secret?? My favorite pair of skinnies cost me $10.80 at Forever 21...very budget friendly!
2. A fun cardigan!
I can’t even begin to count how many times I have been rushed for time with nothing to wear. I throw on a fun cardigan over a tank and voila! My outfit is instantly cute and a lot more fun than just throwing on a screen tee and calling it a day! To dress up your outfit even more, add a different colored belt!
3. Animal print skirt!
The great thing about animal print is that it can totally be used as a neutral in your outfit! I think a lot of people are scared to wear animal print because it can be a bold move, but honestly, think of it as the neutral part of your outfit instead of the flashy accessory! For instance, a leopard print skirt can be paired with pretty much any color! Some of my favorite colors to pair it with are teal, red, and light pink. Of course, black is always great too! DO be careful with zebra print because it can look tacky if used too much. I definitely prefer leopard/cheetah!
4. FITTED blazer!
I can’t stress this enough- make sure your blazer fits properly! Too big or too small, and you look like you pillaged through your long lost cousins closet! Blazers are great because they can be worn during the day, or at night for a date. During the day, throw it over a graphic tee for a fun, casual look. At night, throw it over a neutral tank and add some pizzazz by wearing a thin belt or long necklace. A word of advice, however, DON’T button up your blazer unless you’re going to work. It can look so stuffy!
5. LEGGINGS, LEGGINGS, LEGGINGS!
Seriously how great are leggings?! Although basic black leggings are fantastic and should be a staple in every girl’s closet, try experimenting with other types of leggings! My newest obsession- “leather” leggings! They look super cute paired with a LOOSE shirt! Another great type of legging is the “tuxedo” legging! Check em out! Leggings are my “go to” outfit when I need to be able to move like when I’m running errands! Jeans can be so restricting!!!!
These are just 5 of my closet “staples.” Basically, these are just 5 pieces I have been completely obsessed with as of late! Don’t forget that belts and scarves should also be “regulars” in your closet!
Lookie at my new scarf!
SO I haven’t updated in a while..whoopsies!
I DO have some plans though, so stay tuned!
I have a few outfits that I’ve recently put together from my own closet that I want to get pictures of so I can post them as well...but I’m not a big fan of taking pictures. I feel so stupid! The boyfriend pretty much makes me believe it or not, HA!
I will, however, post a recent picture of a scarf that I just got from shopgarageonline.com. Seriously, I’m in LOVE! I’m in love with anchors so when I saw this scarf, I had to get it! I am a SERIOUS scarf junkie!!!! They just add the perfect touch to any outfit!
Without further adieu....
And this one just because it makes me laugh haha
Now, the “outfit” I’m wearing in those pictures is very simple, clearly. I was running around that morning doing errands so I just threw something on that would be easy and comfortable to wear around all day. I’m just wearing a white tank and denim skinnies with a pair of my favorite silver sandals, and of course my anchor scarf! I’m really excited to wear it with some other outfits that I’ve put together, including a red pair of shorts, and a super cute green military jacket.
I have a question! Would anyone be interested in watching a hair tutorial of the curly hair I’m wearing in the pictures? It is super easy and pretty much how I wear my hair everyday. Actually, my hair in the pictures is actually second day hair just touched up with a curling iron! Opinions? Opinions?

Comfort at its cutest!
SO I had every intention of actually taking GOOD pictures of my outfit today BUT...life kinda got away from me. Ok, who am I kidding?! I was lazy.
ANYWAY...here is what I wore today!
Simple, cute, and super comfortable!
(ignore my dirty mirror!)
I LOVE tying my denim top instead of wearing it buttoned up! It’s a cute way to add a little personality to your outfit, AND you can always wear a fun tank underneath.

Hurrrr creations!
I love doing hair. I mean, I REALLY love it. I experiment all the time on my own hair, and a mannequin head I bought about a year ago. It has always been a passion of mine. One day, I WILL go to cosmetology school! :-)
Here are a few pictures of some hair i’ve done recently. Nothing special, just some looks I messed around with.
CCCCCOLORED DENIM!
Hey lovelies!
I thought I’d post some pics (old) of a few of my favorite outfits that I own! I’m hoping to start doing “outfit of the day,” posts real soon, but until then, these will have to do!
I love this outfit (actually, I love both of these outfits!) This is a picture of me (in the red pants) with one of my best friends before we went “out” for the night. I’m really into colored denim because of how easy it is to either dress up, or play down. The possibilities are really endless! It can be nerve-racking to know what to pair with each color, so if you aren’t used to it, I’d suggest going for a neutral top. Once you get more comfortable, you can start adding other colored tops and patterns!
I wanted to post another example of the “colored denim” trend. This pic is of me and my boyfriend on our 4 year anniversary (so precious, right?) Well the reason I wanted to post this particular picture is to show how to wear colored denim if you aren’t sure of what to pair it with. When this picture was taken, I was JUST getting into the trend so I was unsure how to make it work. As you can see, I just paired my coral jeans with a black and white striped shirt...it will work with almost every color of denim!
Another word of advice about colored denim, if you are STILL too nervous to take the plunge...START SMALL!
Start with colored shorts...they look a little less intense, and you can always pair it with casual accessories like sandals to make the overall look look more “everyday."
Everyday look with a pop of color!
Print tee, $13 / Dorothy Perkins / Nudie Jeans Co. skinny jeans, $140 / Chloé nude shoes / MICHAEL Michael Kors zippered tote bag, $545 / Dooney & Bourke zipper bag
Simply bold!
While I was waiting for my pizza, (I am SO healthy!) I put a few outfits together! This was one of my favorites. I have a good friend who told me that she really wanted to get into the colored jeans trend, but didn’t think she was brave enough. I recommend olive jeans because they can usually act as a neutral to tie your outfit together, AND they aren’t as bold as red, blue, pink or whatever other color!Woo! Polyvore is my crack ;-)
