Go! Dress up!

Well to say that I’ve been a crappy blogger would not only be an understatement, buttttttt would also give me more credit than I deserve! haha! I have been horrible!

A lot has happened in the last 2 months or so, so blogging kind of went to the wayside. But I’m back! I’m out of my rut and ready to blog again! Wahoooooooo!

SO. Recently, I was featured in the magazine “Go! Gilbert,” in their “Go! Dress up” section. A photographer came to my house to shoot some pictures, and I answered some questions about what I was wearing. I’m a little disappointed in what I chose for my outfit. I had so much more in mind but I was super stressed at the time, the deadline was approaching, AND I was out of town so I had to basically decide using what I had in my suitcase because I would be able to tell the editor the brands. That probably makes no sense but just know that I had a cuter outfit in mind, but due to time, wasn’t able to use it! Maybe I’ll do a separate post about that particular outfit....hmmmm

Anyway, here is the link to the magazine online.

I hate the way I’m posed. I look like I have a prego belly when guess what guys?! I DON’T! haha!
But I’m really excited to be featured...it was a great way to get my blog out to the public. I just wish I had posted a lot more in the last few months to make it worth it. Here’s to better and more frequent posting!

Outfit of the weeeeeek

Outfit of the week....like a couple of weeks ago ;-)

Dress: Monica’s Closet Essentials
Belt: It’s actually a stretchy headband! Necessity is the mother of all invention, right??! ;-)

Let’s talk rompers, mmkay?!

I really am trying to get this blog up and running. I have just been dealing with a lot of emotions lately so unfortunately, this blog went to the back burner. But let’s change that! Blogging makes me happy, so hopefully getting back into it will help me get out of this funk I’ve been in.

ANYWAYYYY...

Let’s talk clothes.

Right now I’m obsessed with rompers....I mean, aren’t they just the cutest things ever?! I’ve heard some people say that they are too short or too tall for rompers...ummm WRONG! I think rompers can be worn universally! You just gotta know how to work it! ;)

Tall girls- show off those gorgeous long legs in a cute romper. You might want to pair it with a cute pair of flats if you are a little uncomfortable with showing THAT much leg!

Short girls- WEDGES! I repeat...wedges! Do not be afraid to pair a romper with a cute wedge...they will lengthen your legs, and I mean come on, who doesn’t look good in a pair of wedges?!

I’m LOVING THIS romper right now! It’s the perfect amount of casual yet looks completely pulled together! Wouldn’t it be fab with a pair of tan wedges?!

For a little pattern in your life, take a look at THIS little lovely! I would pair this with a cute cropped jean jacket to pull the look together even more. Super cute!

Hair is oh-so-great!

Hello lovelies :-)

Just a quick hair post!

1. Create deep side part (whichever side you want)
2. Make a french-braid starting from your part to a little past your ear
3. Pin braid securely to head (I GENTLY pulled my braid apart to make it look a little bigger and messier, but this isn’t necessary)
4. Tease the back of your hair to your desired height (I usually like it BIG, but I decided to tone it down on this particular day)
5. Use a 32mm curling wand to curl the rest of your hair...start curling midshaft.
6. Shake your head, or finger through the curls to achieve the gentle “wave.”

Very simple and cute!
I’d love to see your recreations! Send them to megccam@gmail.com to be featured on my bloggy :-)

Goodnight! ;-)

Meet Monica!

Ok so I want you guys to meet Monica :-)

Monica is a lifestyle blogger who owns her own online boutique. She basically shops so you don’t have to! ;-) I have bought several items from her (just bought another shirt last night!), all of which I have posted pictures of on my little bloggy/Instagram/Facebook, so you might have already seen some of her stuff without even realizing it!  The blue ombre top, the peach ombre top, and coral top with the heart cutouts are all from her boutique. I just bought the CUTEST black and white shirt from her last night, and I seriously can’t wait. I’ve been waiting for her to put that shirt up for sale for FOREVER! Guys, she is seriously the sweetest girl and has the best customer service I have ever experienced! Seriously, I can’t even tell you how many times I have messaged her on Facebook to get her opinion on a size, and she had replied within the hour at most. I mean, she’s that good! ;-)

Feel free to check her blog and her store out!

I have a few other items I have purchased but I don’t have pictures of right now...and I JUST finished working out so I won’t be doing any photo shoots anytime soon! ;-)

Check her out! You’ll LOVE her!

Make me up!

It’s late. And I should be sleeping. But I really wanted to share one of my favorite beauty items EVER. I do a lot of fashion posts lately, but hello?! How can I neglect the makeup side of me?! I can’t. So without further adieu...take a lookie at a few of my favorite makeup products EVER.

1. MAC Haute&Naughty Lash Mascara.
I can’t say enough about this mascara. I seriously love it. I love the fact that I can choose to go “lighter” with my mascara by using the smaller wand on the top (the “haute” side) or if I want a more dramatic look, I can choose the bottom wand (the “naughty” side.) It will set you back 20 bones, but you won’t regret it. It is fabulous!!!!

2. Bare Escentuals (Minerals) Mineral Veil.
This will completely set your makeup, or soak up any excess oil that may arise throughout the day. I’m not a fan of the illuminating version, but the original is to die for. It’s so lightweight! The cost is 20 bones.

3. MAC Mineralize blush in “Dainty”
I wear this pretty much every day. I’m fair skinned, and I find that this blush looks very natural. There is nothing worse than too dark of a blush on a fair skinned girl!!! The cost is 25 bones.

4. NARS blush in “Cactus Flower.”
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this blush! It’s a cream blush. I usually apply it with my fingers because the natural heat of your body (fingers) helps it apply much easier. I do, however, use a large powered brush sometimes, if I want a lighter application. 29 bones (a little pricey, but it’s fantastic!)

Ok, so now you’re thinking...what about drugstore makeup! Covergirl has a lot of products that I’ve really come to LOVE!

5. Covergirl Perfect Point Plus eyeliner in “Espresso”
Seriously guys, I have been using this eyeliner since I was 14 years old! I love it! It’s SO easy to apply, and stays put A LOT better than most expensive eyeliners. I’ve tried a lot of eyeliners but I always seem to come back to this one. It even includes a fun little smugger at the end if you want to go for a smokier look. Plus it’s around 6 or 7 bucks! Can’t beat that! ;-)

6. Covergirl Eye Enhancers 4 kit shadows in “Drama Eyes”
I love this eyeshadow palette because you can EASILY get a smoky, dramatic ooh with these shadows. I like to use the purple as a base, and blend the black into my crease. The other two “grayish” colors can be blended into the black, but honestly I don’t use those two colors as much as I would like. I LOVE the richness of the purple though! I can’t remember the exact cost, but I think it was around 5 or 6 bucks. LOVE!

7. Covergirl Outlast Lipstain in “Everbloom Kiss,” and “Wild Berry Wink”
THese stains really do last...for an hour or two anyway. Layer a good chapstick (Carmex anyone???) to help it last longer and moisturize at the same time! Woo! I don’t remember the cost for this either, but I think it was around 5 bucks.

Obviously, Covergirl has come up with several products that have gotten my approval. Keep up the good work, Covergirl! I love me some AFFORDABLE makeup! ;-)

I was going to include a few of my favorite foundation/powders, but I haven’t found one that I’m completely in love with. I have seriously (SERIOUSLY!), tried just about every foundation under the sun. I’m really picky about them, and always find myself loving one for about a week, only to start hating it and switch to something else. I have a love-hate relationship with foundation. Can’t we all just have beautiful, flawless skin??? No?? Well crap.
BUT, I will be doing a separate post all about foundation. That post will probably be really long so stay tuned....
